The most challenging part of creating Totsi were the legs: They are made from one-piece bicycle cranks. Steel bicycle cranks are seriously tough things: I popped the circuit breaker twice while cutting them with a carbide chop saw. However, I’m very happy with how the legs turned out, particularly the ankles: they remind me of high-heels, or tippy toes.

Her expression is also a big win for me. When it comes to making the face, subtle adjustments can mean big differences in expression, or whether or not it works at all.
